The Autism Early Detection Team is a team of expert practitioners in Austin with many years of experience providing autism evaluation and treatment. A team-based clinic allows us to provide comprehensive care and services for your child. The team consists of a psychologist, an occupational therapist, and a speech therapist.The clinic meets on Tuesday mornings from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Please call 512-495-9556 to schedule an appointment. All providers are currently accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare insurance, and some are in-network on other insurance panels. Andrea Zeddies, Ph.D. (see About Us for more information), Co-owner of the Central Austin Psychology Group and Former Director of the Autism Evaluation Program at Children’s Hospital of Austin. She has over 18 years of experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities.
Sharon Wisnieski, MS, OTR is an enthusiastic occupational therapist and the owner of Line Leader Pediatric Therapy. She has been an occupational therapist since 2000, providing skilled pediatric occupational therapy via inpatient, outpatient, home-based, and aquatic settings. Seeing a vision for most optimally serving the pediatric population of Austin, Sharon opened Line Leader Pediatric Therapy in September, 2009. Sharon is certified in the testing and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT certified). She has extensive experience treating children with torticollis, developmental delay, neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental impairments, upper extremity splinting needs, autism spectrum disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, oral motor concerns, Down Syndrome, and dysgraphia.
Emily Weiss, M.A., CCC-SLP is a licensed speech-language pathologist who happily joined the Line Leader team in December 2011. She has been practicing since 2008 in a variety of pediatric settings. Emily graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education from Indiana University in 2002 and then attended Eastern Michigan University where she received a Master’s of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology in 2008. Emily has experience working with children who have a variety of speech and language deficits including: apraxia, autism, express/receptive language delay, articulation impairment, early childhood developmental delay, oral motor deficiency, phonological processing disorder, learning disabilities, and cognitive delay. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
